ABOUT US
The Avalanche City All Stars live in a small mountain town in Fernie, British Columbia. We skate hard and are completely addicted to flat track roller derby. We have created My BoutBook as a fundraiser for our team bus and to help skaters everywhere grow their skating skill.
The idea for my My BoutBook sprouted ACAS skater, #3 breakAdawn who owns Entelechy Design. She used to live in the Cayman Islands and spent a whole lot of time under water, scuba diving. She was amazed that the way her scuba dive log book could immediately allow her to relive past experiences with vivid detail. She immediately started tracking her bouts to see if this could work for derby as well. And it did!
Many skaters on our team have been tracking their bouts now too. We realized it makes a HUGE difference in our ability to reflect on how our skating has changed and set goals to continue to improve.
The App
First comes the book, then comes the app. In the very near future there will be a kickstarter campaign started to support the creation of a My BoutBook app.
